The third way is how the character acts. Aaron saves the bird so it says that he is nice and cares for animals.
2. Use each of these vocabulary words in an original sentence that explains something about the story. You may change the form of the words.

stoop - The flowers on the stoop are lovely.
frenzy - The mall was a frenzy on Black Friday.
mascot - The football team's mascot is a cardinal.
thrash - The bull would thrash and try to knock the rider off.
3. Write a paragraph to answer this question. Be sure you relate your answer to the plot of the story.
Can a person "make up" for terrible things that have happened to someone else?
A person can try to make up for terrible things that have happen in the past. If Aaron gave the bird to his grandma it might have made her even more sad because it would remind her of what happened in the past. Aaron tried to make his grandma happy. She will always be upset about what happened to the goat. You needed to explain what had happened to his grandmother to make your answer make sense.
